2.      Further consideration of the following motion moved by Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Planning and Development, Economic Affairs and Statistics, on 5th June, 2010:-

 

“That the Senate may make recommendations to the National Assembly on the Finance Bill, 2010, containing the Annual Budget Statement, under Article 73 of the Constitution.”.

CONTAINING THE ANNUAL BUDGET STATEMENT.

that the Senate of Pakistan recommends that the budgetary allocation for current expenditure of the Government be reduced by 20% and a corresponding amount be added to the allocation for Higher Education.

 

4.      MR. ABDUR RAHIM KHAN MANDOKHAIL

that the Senate of Pakistan recommends that Rs.5 Billion in the allocation of Pakistan Railways be reduced and the same amount be added to PSDP, exclusively to be spent on development projects in the province of Balochistan.

 

5.      PROF. KHURSHID AHMED

that the Senate of Pakistan recommends that an allocation of Rs.10 million may be made for converting the Federal Bureau of Statistics as an Autonomous Body.

that the Senate of Pakistan recommends that Wealth Tax be introduced in the country and the entire collection of Wealth Tax be allocated for Social Safety Net Expenditure.

that the Senate of Pakistan recommends that the minimum wage of employees working on daily wages should also be raised in line with the proposal of Rs.9000 as monthly minimum wage for other workers.

that the Senate of Pakistan recommends that maximum mark-up rate for the Business and Industry may be capped at 10 per cent per annum.
