2.      SENATOR ZAHEER-UD-DIN BABAR AWAN, to move for leave to introduce a Bill further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015]. (Omission of Article 182)

 

3.      SENATOR ZAHEER-UD-DIN BABAR AWAN, to introduce the Bill further to amend the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 [The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2015].

 

MOTION

[Under Rule 194 (1)]

 

4.      SENATOR MIR ISRARULLAH KHAN ZEHRI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Resources, to move under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the time for presentation of report of the Committee on the subject matter of starred question  No. 122 asked by Senator Mohsin Aziz, on 10th November, 2015, regarding working of the current PSO Board, be extended for a further period of thirty working days with effect from 11th January, 2016, for the reasons to be explained in the House.

 

MOTIONS

5.      SENATORS RUBINA KHALID AND HASIL KHAN BIZENJO to move that this House may discuss the need for revival of student unions in the educational institutions in the country particularly in colleges and universities.

 

6.      SENATOR SYED SHIBLI FARAZ to move that this House may discuss the present position of balance of trade of the country.

 

7.      SENATOR MUHAMMAD TALHA MEHMOOD to move that the Senate of Pakistan may discuss the affairs of cooperative housing societies in Islamabad particularly the violations committed by them in planning and allocation of land for community services.

 

8.      SENATOR MIAN MUHAMMAD ATEEQ SHAIKH to move that this House may discuss the revised Telecom Policy, 2015, approved by ECC proposing curbs on OTT Services like Skype, Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter etc. with particular reference to violation of fundamental rights granted by Articles 19 and 19A of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan through that policy.

 

9.      SENATOR MOHSIN AZIZ to move that this House may discuss the situation arising out of privatization of a number of public institutions / organizations without a fresh approval of Council of Common Interests and without taking the Parliament into confidence.

RESOLUTIONS

 

10.    SENATOR COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government should take immediate steps to establish new residential Sectors in Islamabad.".

 

11.    SENATOR MOHAMMAD AZAM KHAN SWATI to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government should provide an additional amount of Rs. 2 billion to NACTA to facilitate its operations and fulfill the requirements of national security.".

 

12.    SENATOR COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government should take immediate steps to explore new markets abroad for Pakistani goods.".

 

13.    SENATORS NIGHAT MIRZA AND  MUHAMMAD ALI KHAN SAIF to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government should immediately ban the VIP protocol in the country in order to save the people from hardships being faced by them due to that protocol.".

 

14.    SENATOR COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government should take effective steps to improve the performance of Pakistan Agricultural Research Council.".
