3.      Consideration of status of the following pending Privilege Motions:-

 

 

(i)

Privilege Motion No. 02(110)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Zaheer-ud-Din Babar Awan, against the Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources due to petrol crisis and his insulting statement against the general public;

(ii)

Privilege Motion No. 01(111)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Hilal-ur-Rehman, against the behaviour of CPO and DIG Rawalpindi due to registration of baseless FIR No. 161 against the Senator in Airport Police Station, Rawalpindi;

(iii)

Privilege Motion No. 02(111)/2015-M, notice given of by Senators Khalida Parveen, Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari and Shahi Syed, against the Secretary and Minister for Water and Power for not attending the meeting of the Standing Committee on Water and Power held on 27th January, 2015;

(iv)

Privilege Motion No. 02(115)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, regarding wrong information provided by the Minister of State for Water and Power in response to his Calling Attention Notice taken up in the House on 7th May, 2015;

(v)

Privilege Motion No. 04(115)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Sardar Muhammad Azam Khan Musakhel, against the inappropriate behaviour of Head of Regulatory (Ufone) and other officers towards the Senator;

(vi)

Privilege Motion No. 02(117)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Najma Hameed, regarding incorrect information provided by the Ministry of Water and Power in respect to her starred question Nos. 216 and 9 asked on 30th October, 2014 and 7th May, 2015, respectively;

(vii)

Privilege Motion No. 02(118)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Muhammad Talha Mehmood, regarding the inappropriate behaviour of Governor State Bank of Pakistan while replying to the query of the member during the meeting of Senate Standing Committee on Finance held on 29th July, 2015;

(viii)

Privilege Motion No. 03(118)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Sitara Ayaz, regarding the publication of news in “Daily Khyber”, Peshawar and ticker telecasted in “Khyber News Channel” on 30th July, 2015 to the effect that her name       along-with some other politicians has been placed in the Exit Control List (ECL) which is contrary to the facts;

Privilege Motion No. 04(118)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Hilal-ur-Rehman, against the Commissioner Peshawar and Registrar, FATA Tribunal for not attending the meeting of Senate Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions held on 14th July and 4th August 2015, on public petition No. 543; and

(x)

Privilege Motion No. 01(120)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Samina Abid, regarding incorrect information provided by the Minister for Water and Power in respect of starred questions No. 89 dated 18th September, 2015 and No. 9 dated 7th May, 2015.

 

CONSIDERATION OF ADMISSIBILITY OF

ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS

 

4.      Admissibility of the following Adjournment Motions will be determined:-

 

(i)

Adj. Motion No. 11(121)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Sheher Bano Sherry Rehman, regarding accumulation of total debt over PKR 3.81 trillion which, subject to approval of the latest tranche by the IMF Board, will increase to 68 billion dollars by the end of the fiscal year and Pakistan will need 6.7 billion dollars this year for service of the external debt;

 

(ii)

Adj. Motion No. 12(121)/2015-M, notice given of by Senators Mushahid Hussain Syed, Mushahid Ullah Khan and Col. (R) Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi, regarding growing religious extremism and intolerance in India which has resulted in protests from prominent Indian Public figures, intellectual and artists like Sudheendra Kulkarni, Arundhati Roy and Shah Rukh Khan which is manifestation of aggressive Indian Foreign Policy including attacks across the Line of Control; and

 

(iii)

Adj. Motion No. 13(121)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Karim Ahmed Khawaja, regarding a News item published in “The Nation” on 10th November, 2015 that over five hundred candidates backed by banned outfits have made their way into the Punjab Local Government System.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

5.                SENATOR MUSHAHID HUSSAIN SYED, to draw attention of the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, to a matter of public importance regarding a front page story published in “Daily Dawn” on 22nd October, 2015 regarding sale of Government of Pakistan’s property, “Jinnah House” (former Embassy of Pakistan) which is located in Washington D.C rather than converting the same into Jinnah House of culture to promote Pakistan’s soft image in U.S.A.

 

REPORT OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE - PRESENTATION OF:

 

6.      SENATOR MUHAMMAD JAVED ABBASI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Human Rights, to present report of the Committee on the Bill to provide certain facilities to the working / employed womenfolk [The Working Women (Protection of Rights) Bill, 2015], introduced by Senator Samina Abid on 14th September, 2015.

 

MOTION

7.      SENATOR SYED MUZAFAR HUSSAIN SHAH, Chairman, Standing Committee on National Food Security and Research, to move that under       sub-rule (1) of rule 196 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the report of the Committee on an adjournment motion, moved by Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed, regarding proposed conversion of 1400 acre land of National Agricultural Research Centre by the CDA into residential / commercial plots, which was presented in the House on 7th October, 2015, be considered and adopted.

8.      MINISTER-IN-CHARGE CABINET SECRETARIAT, to move that the House may discuss the Annual Report on the Observance and Implementation of the Principles of Policy in relation to the affairs of the Federation for the         year 2012-2013, laid on the Table of the House on 4th November, 2015.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

9.      SENATOR LT. GEN. (R) SALAHUDDIN TIRMIZI, to draw attention of the Minister Incharge of the Climate Change, to a matter of public importance regarding suspension of survey in snow effected areas of district Mansehra namely Kaghan valley to asses the damages caused by recent earthquake.

 

GENERAL DEBATE ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs)

 

10.    Debate on the role of the Government and Parliament in implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 

DISCUSSION ON THE ADMITTED ADJOURNMENT MOTION

 

11.    Discussion on admitted adjournment motion moved by Senator Sheher Bano Sherry Rehman, on 10th November, 2015, to discuss the Climate Change Ministry’s draft of the INDC, Pakistan’s negotiation plan for the Paris summit on Climate Change and appointment of Minister for Climate Change and Head of the Paris delegation.
