CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

3.     SENATOR OSMAN SAIFULLAH KHAN, to draw attention of the Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding increase in public indebtedness to foreigners on account of the recent issuance of Euro Bonds worth USD 500 millions by the Government of Pakistan at a substantial interest rate of 8.5% per annum.

 

MOTION

 

4.      MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move under rule 263 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the requirement of rule 121 read with sub-rule (2) of rule 99 of the said Rules, be dispensed with in order to take into consideration the Bill further to amend the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956 [The State Bank of Pakistan (Amendment) Bill, 2015], as reported by the Standing Committee.

 

LEGISLATIVE BUSINESS

 

5.      MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move that the Bill further to amend the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956 [The State Bank of Pakistan (Amendment) Bill, 2015], as reported by the Standing Committee, be taken into consideration at once.

 

6.      MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move that the Bill further to amend the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956 [The State Bank of Pakistan (Amendment) Bill, 2015] be passed.

 

REPORT TO BE LAID

 

7.      MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to lay before the Senate the report on 1st Biannual Monitoring on the Implementation of National Finance Commission (NFC) Award (July-December, 2014), as required under clause (3B) of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

8.     SENATOR SASSUI PALIJO, to draw attention of the Minister for Water and Power, towards the recent removal of fifty transformers from several villages of District Thatta in order to create load shedding of electricity before the upcoming Local Government Elections.

 

DISCUSSION ON THE ADMITTED ADJOURNMENT MOTIONS 

 

9.     Discussion on the following admitted adjournment motions:-

 

(i)

Admitted adjournment motion moved by Senator Sardar Muhammad Azam Khan Musakhel on 8th June, 2015, regarding the distribution formula of NFC Award and report on 2nd Biannual Monitoring on the Implementation of National Finance Commission (NFC) Award (January-June, 2014), laid on the Table of the House on 8th July, 2015;

 

(ii)

Admitted adjournment motions moved by Senator Taj Haider, on his behalf and on behalf of Senators Farhatullah Babar, Mir Kabeer Ahmed Muhammad Shahi, Baz Muhammad Khan, Muhammad Usman Khan Kakar and Sardar Muhammad Azam Khan Musakhel, on 7th October, 2015, regarding conclusion of Senate Special Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) that consensus developed in All Parties Conference on 28th May, 2015, on the route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), is being blatantly violated by the concerned Government Departments;

 

(iii)

Admitted adjournment motion moved by Senator Mohsin Aziz, on his behalf and on behalf of Senators Saeed Ghani, Ilyas Ahmad Bilour and Sheher Bano Sherry Rehman, on 16th September, 2015, regarding failure of OGRA in fixing sale price of LNG and other issues including LNG import price, inadequate regulatory provisions and other related matters; and

 

(iv)

Admitted adjournment motion moved by Senator Shahi Syed, on 18th September, 2015, regarding production of spurious and substandard medicines in the country and export thereof.
