Adj. Motion No. 02(118)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Saeed Ghani, regarding disconnection of gas of Pakistan Steel Mills by Sui Southern Gas Company;

Adj. Motion No. 03(118)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Sitara Ayaz, regarding the demolition of Kachi Abadi of       Sector I-11, Islamabad and alleged thrashing of the residents by the Islamabad Police and Capital Development Authority;

 

(iii)

Adj. Motion No. 05(118)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Mohammad Azam Khan Swati, regarding the loss of human lives and properties due to recent devastating flood across the country;

 

(iv)

REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON RULES OF PROCEDURE AND

PRIVILEGES - PRESENTATION OF:

 

4.      SENATOR DR. JEHANZEB JAMALDINI, Chairman, Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges, to present report of the Committee on the issue of non-briefing to any other Minister to reply the questions on behalf of the Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division on 14th May, 2015.

5.      SENATOR DR. JEHANZEB JAMALDINI, Chairman, Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privileges, to move under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, that the time for presentation of report of the Committee, on the Privilege Motion No.02(116)/2015-M, moved by Senator Saeed Ghani on 17th June, 2015, regarding commencement of process of local bodies election in Islamabad Capital Territory by the Ministry of Interior and Election Commission of Pakistan despite being conscious that Islamabad Capital Territory Local Government Bill, 2015, was not passed by the Senate by that time, may be extended for a period of three months to enable the committee to examine the issue thoroughly.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

6.      SENATOR MUSHAHID HUSSAIN SYED to draw attention of the Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding a UK-based organization’s report titled “Tipping the Scales” security and surveillance in Pakistan and the steps taken by the Government in this regard.

 

LAYING A COPY OF THE MONEY BILL

 

7.      MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to lay before the Senate a copy of the Money Bill, the Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2015, (Ordinance No. X of 2015), under clause (1) of Article 73 of the Constitution.

 

8.      MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move that the Senate may make recommendations, if any, to the National Assembly on the Money Bill, the Income Tax (Amendment) Ordinance, 2015, (Ordinance No. X of 2015), under clause (1) of Article 73 of the Constitution.

 

PAPERS TO BE LAID BEFORE THE SENATE

 

9.      MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to lay before the Senate the Third Quarterly Report for the year 2014-2015 of the Central Board of Directors of the State Bank of Pakistan on the state of the Economy, as required under section 9A(f) of the State Bank of Pakistan Act, 1956.

 

10.    SHAIKH AFTAB AHMED, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, to lay on the Table of the House an authenticated copy of the Address of the President of Pakistan made under Article 56(3) of the Constitution before both Houses assembled together on 4th June, 2015, as required by sub-rule (2) of rule 32 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012.

11.    SHAIKH AFTAB AHMED, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, to move the following motion:-

 

“This House expresses its deep gratitude to the President of Pakistan for his address to both the Houses assembled together on 4th June, 2015.”.

12.    SENATOR SAMINA ABID to move for discussion on the following matter of sufficient public importance arising out of the answer to starred question No.80, replied on 12th May, 2015:-

 

regarding the date on which the work was started on Lowari Tunnel and  the original date of its completion.”.

13.    SENATOR NUZHAT SADIQ to draw attention of the Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding irrational figure about teacher-student ratio in many Government run schools of the Federal Capital.

 

DISCUSSION ON ADMITTED ADJOURNMENT MOTION

 
14.   Discussion on the admitted adjournment motion, moved by Senator  Saeed Ghani on 17th June, 2015, regarding injudicious/out of turn allotment of Government accommodations particularly to the employees of the Islamabad High Court, Islamabad.
