Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan Nasar has extended his heartfelt felicitations to President Xi Jinping, the Chinese leadership and the people of China on the National Day of the People’s Republic of China, while conveying his best wishes for China’s continued progress, prosperity and stability.
In his message, the Deputy Chairman said that the Pakistan-China friendship was a unique and time-tested relationship rooted in mutual trust, respect and shared interests, which had grown stronger with every passing challenge and changing circumstance.
He said that the year marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China held historic significance for both countries, providing an opportunity to reaffirm their resolve to elevate the bilateral partnership to new heights.
Syedaal Khan Nasar underscored the important role of parliamentary exchanges in promoting mutual understanding and strengthening institutional cooperation between the two countries. He noted that Pakistan-China relations had expanded across a wide range of areas, including trade, economy, defence, technology, energy and people-to-people contacts.
The Deputy Chairman described the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a landmark manifestation of bilateral cooperation and expressed hope that its next phase would create new opportunities for industrial development, investment, employment generation and regional connectivity.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to the One-China principle and appreciated China’s consistent support for Pakistan. He expressed confidence that the enduring and time-tested friendship between Pakistan and China would continue to deepen and grow stronger, carrying the bond of friendship forward for generations to come.
