The 54th CTP Probationary Officers Visit Senate of Pakistan
A delegation of 110 probationary officers of the 54th Common Training Programme (CTP) visited Parliament House, Islamabad. The delegation was welcomed and briefed by Secretary Senate and Joint Secretary Haris Rehman on the structure, functions, role and constitutional arrangements of the Senate through a presentation.
The briefing highlighted the bicameral nature of Parliament, the respective roles of the Senate and National Assembly, and the Senate’s key functions of representation, legislation and oversight. The delegation was also briefed on the role and functioning of parliamentary committees and the Secretariat of the Senate, followed by a special interactive question-and-answer session by Secretary, State of Pakistan.
At the conclusion, a representative of the delegation presented a shield to the Secretary Senate as a token of appreciation and thanks.
