Chairman Senate Honours Prominent Builder Rao Waqas with Gold Medal for Outstanding Services to Construction Sector and National Economy
Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani received renowned builder Mr. Rao Waqas at Parliament House, Islamabad. During the meeting, the Chairman Senate appreciated the valuable services of Rao Waqas Abdul Sattar & Co. in the construction sector and its contribution to national development.
The Chairman Senate said that businesses and companies associated with the construction and investment sectors play an important role in strengthening the national economy, creating employment opportunities and promoting economic growth and prosperity. He also appreciated Rao Waqas’s professional and business achievements, noting that he is among the country’s prominent taxpayers.
In recognition of his outstanding services to the construction sector, national economy and development, Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani conferred a Gold Medal upon Rao Waqas. In return, Rao Waqas presented a shield/souvenir to the Chairman Senate.
Rao Waqas thanked the Chairman Senate for the honour and encouragement and apprised him of the challenges and issues faced by the construction sector.
