Event Title: ​Delegation from the University of Lahore and the University of Plymouth Visits Parliament House at the Invitation of Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasir

On the invitation of Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasir, a 50-member delegation comprising male and female students alongside faculty members from the University of Lahore and the University of Plymouth visited Parliament House, Islamabad. Upon their arrival at Parliament House, the delegation was welcomed by Senate Secretariat officials.
 
​The delegation visited Gali-e-Dastoor (Constitution Street), the Senate Museum, the Senate Hall, the Assembly Hall, and other key historical sites within the Parliament building. During their visit to the Senate Museum, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan's parliamentary history, the legislative process, and the upper house's role in national affairs. On this occasion, a special documentary depicting the history of the Senate and key parliamentary milestones was also screened for the group.
 
​Participants also visited the Senate Hall, where they were given detailed insights into the procedures of upper house sessions, stages of legislation, and the parliamentary committee system. The delegation was further informed about the effective role of the parliamentary structure and the importance of committees in standard lawmaking. Additionally, they toured the National Assembly Hall.
 
​Afterward, the delegation visited "Gali-e-Dastoor," where they were briefed on the drafting of the Constitution of Pakistan and the prominent phases of the country's constitutional history. 
 

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed their gratitude to the Senate Secretariat for the briefing, describing the experience as highly informative and valuable.
