Event Title: Senator Bushra Anjum Butt Leads Pakistani Delegation at SCO Women's Forum in Kyrgyzstan

Senator Bushra Anjum Butt led the Pakistani delegation at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Women's Forum held in the Kyrgyz Republic. Delegations from other SCO member states also participated in the forum.
 
The meeting focused on strengthening socio-economic cooperation among member states and enhancing collaboration on women's empowerment. Participants held detailed discussions on creating greater economic and entrepreneurial opportunities for women, ensuring increased representation of women in public institutions, promoting their participation in international organizations, and strengthening their role in global decision-making processes.
 
On the sidelines of the forum, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt met with the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the accompanying Iranian delegation. The Iranian delegation expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its constructive role as a mediator during the Iran–United States conflict and for its continued efforts to promote lasting peace and stability in the region.
 
Senator Bushra Anjum Butt thanked the Iranian delegation for its confidence in Pakistan and reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to regional peace, cooperation, and mutual understanding.
 
During the forum, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt also met with former President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Roza Otunbayeva, and exchanged views on women's leadership, regional cooperation, and shared development goals.
 
She further engaged with delegates from SCO member states to build consensus on hosting the next SCO Women's Forum in Pakistan. It was announced that the forthcoming SCO Women's Forum will be held in Pakistan in September.
 
As part of the official programme, Senator Bushra Anjum Butt attended a cultural show hosted by the Government of Kyrgyzstan in honour of the forum participants. She also visited exhibitions featuring traditional Kyrgyz attire and cultural artifacts, where she expressed keen interest and appreciation for the country's rich cultural heritage. Senator Bushra Anjum Butt commended the organizers for the successful arrangements and their outstanding efforts in hosting the event.
