Advisor to Chairman Senate Attends Launch of Urdu-Uzbek Literary Publications
 
Advisor to the Chairman Senate and Ambassador to the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), Ms. Misbah Khar, attended the launch ceremony of two important literary publications organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan at the National Language Promotion Department, Islamabad.
 
The event was hosted by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Alisher Tukhtaev, and featured the launch of “Short Stories of the 20th Century” and the “Urdu-Uzbek Similar Words Dictionary.” The publications represent a significant contribution towards promoting literary exchange, linguistic cooperation, and cultural understanding between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Misbah Khar appreciated the efforts of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the National Language Promotion Department in strengthening people-to-people contacts through literature and language. She noted that such initiatives help deepen the longstanding brotherly relations between the two countries and promote greater academic and cultural collaboration.
 
She highlighted the importance of literary translations and linguistic research in fostering mutual understanding and preserving the shared cultural heritage of the region. The launch ceremony was attended by scholars, writers, diplomats, and representatives from cultural and academic institutions.
 
She said that Pakistan and Uzbekistan share a common goal of regional development and enjoy brotherly relations. Pakistan highly values ties with Uzbekistan and parliament linkages between the two sides are getting momentum to add to the people to people contacts.
