Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, in his special message to the nation and the Muslim Ummah on the blessed occasion of Shab-e-Meraj, said that Shab-e-Meraj is a glorious and sacred night associated with the revered personality of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), during which Allah Almighty bestowed upon His beloved Prophet (PBUH) the highest spiritual elevations and granted the Muslim Ummah the great blessings of faith, conviction, and worship. He said that this night reminds us of the supreme power of Allah Almighty and the exalted status of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The Chairman Senate said that Meraj stands as a shining chapter of the greatness, patience, and steadfastness of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), conveying to the Muslim Ummah the message that ease follows hardship and success follows trials.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said that Shab-e-Meraj teaches the Muslim Ummah the values of unity, brotherhood, and mutual respect. He said that in the present era, the challenges faced by the Ummah can only be addressed by adopting the Seerat-e-Tayyaba and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as guiding principles and by setting aside differences to share in each other’s sorrows and hardships.
In his concluding remarks, the Chairman Senate extended heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Shab-e-Meraj and prayed that Allah Almighty may enable us to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), grant peace, unity, and prosperity, and, through the blessings of this sacred night, extend help and support to oppressed Muslims across the world.
