Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan held a meeting at the Parliament House, Islamabad, with parliamentarians, tribal elders, students, lawyers, members of the business community, and prominent personalities from various walks of life.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the country’s current situation, legislation, economic stability, employment opportunities, provincial development, and national unity.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chairman stated that the present government, in collaboration with its allied partners, is introducing effective legislation to ensure economic stability, public relief, and sustainable development. He said the government’s top priority is to create wide-ranging employment opportunities, integrate underdeveloped and backward areas into the national development mainstream, and ensure the optimal use of national resources.
He emphasized that Pakistan is richly endowed with natural resources, scenic beauty, and valuable mineral reserves. He said that regions such as Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa possess immense mineral wealth, which, if utilized in a transparent and modern manner, can significantly improve the national economy. Tribal elders shared their views regarding regional issues, development needs, and employment prospects for youth.
Representatives of the legal fraternity highlighted key issues related to judicial reforms, timely provision of justice, and the need for legislative support at the parliamentary level. Students presented suggestions regarding education, scholarships, career guidance, and government opportunities for youth, while parliamentarians discussed matters related to ongoing legislation and public welfare initiatives.
Syedaal Khan stressed that mutual cooperation among all political parties, state institutions, tribal leadership, youth, and civil society is essential for steering the country towards progress and prosperity. He urged all stakeholders to rise above political affiliations and work collectively in the national interest.
He assured that the Upper House will continue to introduce legislation that will provide relief to the common man, strengthen the national economy, ensure the best utilization of natural resources, and open new avenues of development and prosperity for the people. He said that by following the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the nation can bring about positive, effective, and long-lasting change through unity and harmony.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman Senate congratulated Chief of Defence Forces General Asim Munir on his leadership qualities. He praised General Asim Munir’s professional insight, defensive strategy, and exceptional leadership, stating that his services are appreciated not only in Pakistan but also at the international level.
He paid rich tribute to the martyrs and said that their great sacrifices have made the nation stronger and that the entire nation is indebted to them. He remarked that under the leadership of General Asim Munir, Pakistan’s defence system has become more robust and that the nation takes pride in his leadership.
He expressed hope that under General Asim Munir’s leadership, the challenge of terrorism will be effectively addressed. He concluded by stating that General Asim Munir has become a source of honour, stability, and pride not only for Pakistan but for the entire Muslim Ummah, and that his role as Chief of Defence Forces is enhancing Pakistan’s stature in the Muslim world.
