Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, Ahsan Bhoon, and the Independent Group on their remarkable success in the Pakistan Bar Council elections.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani stated that the legal fraternity has always played a historic and commendable role in strengthening democracy, upholding the supremacy of the Constitution, and promoting the rule of law in the country.
He emphasized that a strong, independent, and vibrant lawyers’ community is the guarantor of timely dispensation of justice and effective protection of citizens’ fundamental rights.
The Chairman Senate reaffirmed Parliament’s continued commitment to fully support the resolution of issues faced by the legal community, institutional strengthening, and comprehensive reforms in the legal and judicial system.
He further noted that for an effective justice system, close, trust-based, and continuous coordination between the Bench and the Bar is indispensable.
