Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has strongly condemned the attack carried out by Afghan Taliban on Pakistani territory along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. He stated that the targeting of civilian populations by Afghan forces is deeply regrettable and constitutes a blatant violation of international norms and principles.

Commending the timely and effective response of the Pakistan Army and security forces, the Chairman said that the armed forces of Pakistan have once again demonstrated utmost professionalism, resolve, and bravery by foiling the enemy’s nefarious designs. He emphasized that Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national dignity are non-negotiable. The Pakistan Army has once again lived up to the nation’s expectations and set a new example of courage and patriotism.

Chairman Senate reaffirmed that the Parliament and the entire nation stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces and are ready to make every sacrifice for the defense of the motherland. He stressed that any act of aggression from Afghanistan poses a serious threat to regional peace. Pakistan desires peace, but it will defend its borders at all costs.

Rejecting the baseless allegations and false propaganda emanating from Afghanistan, the Chairman said that the armed forces of Pakistan remain fully prepared to defend the motherland at all times.
