Ambassador of France H.E Mr. Nicolas Galey made a courtesy call on Hon Chief Whip Senate, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla at his Chamber in Islamabad, on Monday and exchanged views over trade, investment and other issues of mutual interest.
Hon Chief Whip Senate, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla while discussing trade and investment opportunities with France said that improving inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries will help enhance business and trade ties. He said that in addition to this he looked forward to more interaction with the Pak-France friendship Group and enhanced relations between Pakistan France Business Alliance. Ambassador of France H.E Mr. Nicolas Galey said that he was pleased to see the manufacture of Peugeot in Karachi. He also congratulated Pakistan getting off the FATF Grey List and said that France has supported Pakistan greatly on the issue. Discussing the recent floods and France’s contribution towards relief and rescue operations in Pakistan he said that rescuers from France assisting with the operation is a perfect example of developing people to people contact that strengthens bilateral ties. He was of the view that Parliamentary visits are an excellent means of improving and enhancing relations between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting Ambassador of France H.E Mr. Nicolas Galey was presented with a Memento. He thanked Hon Chief Whip Senate, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla for his hospitality and said that he looked forward to developing stronger links through various parliamentary/business avenues between the two countries.
