Deputy Chairman Senate، Mirza Muhammad Afridi attended the eighteenth convocation of National University of Modern Languages (NUML) as the Chief Guest.

Addressing the function, Mirza Muhammad Afridi said that it is a matter of great pleasure for me to address you today on this auspicious occasion and this is a very joyous moment for the students, their parents and respected teachers. He congratulated the students for obtaining degrees in various fields. Deputy Chairman Senate expressed his gratitude to Rector NUML for providing him with the great opportunity to address the future of Pakistan. "You have reached a great destination and crossed an important milestone on the path to success. In the field, people will critically evaluate your physical and mental abilities as well as your moral outlook. I am sure your teachers have prepared you well for all the future challenges. Now It is your duty to play active role for the development of motherland." Remarked Mirza Muhammad Afridi

Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi said that "For the prosperity of the nation you have to use your knowledge and understanding to the best of your ability and I assure you that you are a proud asset of our nation. Today's world is one of discovery, creation and a constant struggle."

He underlined that science and technology have brought significant changes in every field of knowledge. "In the era of "knowledge bang" and especially in a country like Pakistan, the responsibilities of universities is immense."

The Deputy Chairman Senate reiterated that younger generation should play a positive role for the welfare of the motherland in particular and for the whole humanity in general. He was of the view that students should hone their skills in such a way that they can perform at their best in today's competitive environment.

"Constitution of Pakistan gurantees freedom of expression to every citizen in a peaceful manner. I am sure that intelligent and capable young minds like you will play a productive role in building a stable society". Said Mirza Muhammad Afridi.
He added that educational institutions have an important part to play for country's development. NUML has quality faculty and its performance as an educational institution is exemplary. He reminded the students that their university is the cornerstone   for their future success. Mirza Muhammad Afridi expressed hope that our national development can be built on the basis of knowledge and research and studying in a great institution like NUML should be a matter of pride for all the attending students. He said that on this auspicious day teachers also deserve our heartfelt gratitude as they are the real planners of success in every student's life.

Chief guest of the event, Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi distributed academic certificates and gold medals to the successful students.  Rector NUML presented a commemorative shield to the Deputy Chairman Senate. Deputy Chairman Senate Mirza Muhammad Afridi also presented a commemorative shield to Rector NUML.
