3.      Admissibility of the following Adjournment Motions will be determined:-

 

(i)

Adj. Motion No. 12(121)/2015-M, notice given of by Senators Mushahid Hussain Syed, Mushahid Ullah Khan and Col. (R) Syed Tahir Hussain Mashhadi, regarding growing religious extremism and intolerance in India which has resulted in protests from prominent Indian Public figures, intellectual and artists like Sudheendra Kulkarni, Arundhati Roy and Shah Rukh Khan which is manifestation of aggressive Indian Foreign Policy including attacks across the Line of Control;

 

 

(ii)

Adj. Motion No. 13(121)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Karim Ahmed Khawaja, regarding a News item published in “The Nation” on 10th November, 2015 that over five hundred candidates backed by banned outfits have made their way into the Punjab Local Government System; and

 

 

(iii)

Adj. Motion No. 14(121)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Shahi Syed, regarding victimization of businessmen community of Pakhtoons in Karachi at the hands of Karachi Police on the pretext of baseless allegations of their connivance with Taliban.

 

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

4.      SENATOR OSMAN SAIFULLAH KHAN, to draw attention of the Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to a matter of public importance regarding last minute decision of the Government to extend return filing date which results in putting off filing of tax returns and consequently reduced tax paying and filing.

 

REPORT OF THE FUNCTIONAL COMMITTEE - PRESENTATION OF:

 

5.      SENATOR HASIL KHAN BIZENJO, Chairman, Functional Committee on Devolution Process, to present report of the Committee on a resolution moved by Senator Sardar Muhammad Azam Khan Musakhel, on 5th October, 2015, regarding shifting of Pakistan Cricked Board Office from Lahore to Islamabad.

 

MOTION

6.      SENATOR MIR MUHAMMAD YOUSAF BADINI, Chairman, Standing Committee on Climate Change, to move that under sub-rule (1) of rule 194 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate, 2012, the time for presentation of report of the Committee on a Private Member’s Bill titled “The Pakistan Environmental Protection (Amendment) Bill, 2015” introduced by Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed in the Senate on 14th September, 2015, be extended for a period of thirty working days with effect from 14th November, 2015, as more time is needed for presentation of report for the reason that the Committee, with the consent of the Mover, has given time to the Ministry to come up with an alternate / comprehensive proposal, in the wake of 18th Constitutional Amendment.

7.      MR. MOHAMMAD ISHAQ DAR, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to move that the House may discuss the report on 1st Biannual Monitoring on the Implementation of National Finance Commission (NFC) Award (July-December, 2014), laid on the Table of the House on 13th October, 2015.

 

CALLING ATTENTION NOTICE

 

8.      SENATOR SALEEM MANDVIWALA, to draw attention of the Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, to a matter of public importance regarding non-payment of salaries to the employees of Pakistan Steel Mills for the last two months and non-payment of gratuity to the retired employees of Pakistan Steel Mills since 2013.

 

DISCUSSION ON THE ADMITTED ADJOURNMENT MOTION

 

9.      Discussion on the admitted adjournment motion moved by Senator Sheher Bano Sherry Rehman, on 11th November, 2015, regarding accumulation of total debt over PKR 3.81 trillion which, subject to approval of the latest tranche by the IMF Board, will increase to 68 billion dollars by the end of the fiscal year and Pakistan will need 6.7 billion dollars this year for service of the external debt.
