2.      Statement by the Minister for Water and Power on the following motion moved by Senator Mohsin Aziz, on 2nd November, 2015:-

 

“This House may discuss the situation arising out of fixation of high electricity tariffs on account of under declared efficiency of plants run on furnace oil, operated by the IPPs and government sector and the need of a fresh efficiency audit of those plants.”.

 

3.      Discussion on the following motion moved by Senator Muhammad Usman Khan Kakar, on 2nd November, 2015:-

 

“This House may discuss the causes, remedies and preventive measures to control poverty in the country.”.

 

MOTIONS

4.      SENATOR CHAUDHARY TANVIR KHAN to move that this House may discuss the need for construction of a ring road in Islamabad / Rawalpindi keeping in view the increase in volume of traffic and traffic congestion on entry points of these cities.

 

5.      SENATOR KAMIL ALI AGHA to move that this House may discuss the procedure laid down to determine prices of electricity in the country.

 

6.      SENATOR FARHATULLAH BABAR to move that this House may discuss the overall performance of the PIA with a view to making recommendations for its improvement.

 

7.      SENATOR SAMINA ABID to move that this House may discuss the steps taken or being taken by the Government to eliminate various crimes in Islamabad Capital Territory.

 

8.      SENATOR ABDUL REHMAN MALIK to move that this House may discuss the confession of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bangladesh that India played a role in breaking Pakistan.

 

RESOLUTIONS

 

9.      SENATOR KARIM AHMED KHAWAJA to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government should take immediate steps to establish Natural Science Museums in the country.".

 

10.    SENATOR MUHAMMAD TALHA MEHMOOD to move the following resolution:-

 

"The Senate of Pakistan recommends that the Government should take effective steps to control fee and other related charges of the private educational institutions in Islamabad Capital Territory.".

 

11.    SENATOR SIRAJUL HAQ to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government should implement the judgment of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the case of PTCL pensioners announced on 12th June, 2015.".

 

12.    SENATOR COL. (R) SYED TAHIR HUSSAIN MASHHADI to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that strict measures should be taken for the security of Parliament Lodges.".

 

13.    SENATORS SALEEM MANDVIWALA, MOHSIN AZIZ, MUHAMMAD MOHSIN KHAN LEGHARI, MUHAMMAD USMAN KHAN KAKAR, SARDAR FATEH MUHAMMAD MUHAMMAD HASSANI, NASEEMA EHSAN, KAMIL ALI AGHA, MUFTI ABDUL SATTAR AND HAJI SAIF-ULLAH KHAN BANGASH to move the following resolution:-

 

"This House recommends that the Government may extend usual facilities of VIP's to all Ex-Members of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) of Pakistan including the Gratis / Blue Passports to their spouses and Children.".
