Adj. Motion No. 02(118)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Saeed Ghani, regarding disconnection of gas of Pakistan Steel Mills by Sui Southern Gas Company;      

 

(ii)

Adj. Motion No. 04(118)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Muhammad Javed Abbasi, regarding the status and steps taken by the Government for the construction and rehabilitation of the 2005 earthquake affected areas;

 

(iii)

Adj. Motion No. 05(118)/2015-M, notice given of by Senator Mohammad Azam Khan Swati, regarding the loss of human lives and properties due to recent devastating flood across the country.

4.      SENATOR HAFIZ HAMDULLAH to draw attention of the Minister for Water and Power to a matter of sufficient public importance regarding collection of TV fee through electricity bills even from mosques.

 

PUBLIC PETITION

 

5.      Discussion on the following matter raised through Public Petition:-

 

 

“The proposed privatization of profitable electricity companies  i.e. LESCO, FESCO and IESCO without thrashing out its pros and cons in consultation with the representatives of CBA Union and other stakeholders which would possibly lead to increase in electricity prices and eruption of inter-provincial disputes like water distribution.”.

 

 

 

DISCUSSION ON REPORT OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE ON WATER AND POWER AND ON ADMITTED ADJOURNMENT MOTION                                                                    

 
6.     Discussion on report of the Standing Committee on Water and Power on unprecedented loss of lives caused by the summer heat wave of June, 2015, coupled with power cuts by K-Electric in Karachi and on the admitted adjournment motion moved by Senator Taj Haider on his behalf and on behalf of Senators Saeed Ghani, Saleem Mandviwala and Sassui Palijo on 4th August, 2015, regarding recurrent breakdown (4 times in a week) of electricity in Karachi.
