Muhammad Ali Rind was born in a respectable family of Rind Tribe in 1944 at Turbat/Kech District of Balochistan. He got his early education from Quetta. A philanthropist by nature, he devoted himself to the development and uplift of the people. His interest in the welfare of the local population motivated him to enter into the realm of politics at the grass root level, and was elected BD member at the age of 20.
Currently, he is Vice President of Balochistan National Party (Awami). Earlier, he has served at many prominent positions during his career. He has been elected Member, Balochistan Provincial Assembly in 1985, 1990 and 1997. He was Minister Revenue and Excise & Taxation in 1990 and Minister for Food, Fisheries and Coastal Development in 1997 in Balochistan Cabinet. He has been Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs till its dissolution under 18th Amendment, in 2010. He has widely travelled both within and outside Pakistan and has been to various countries in Europe, Middle East on official and private visit.
