A holder of Sanad-e-Dars-e-Nizami and Sanad-e-Hafiz-e-Quran, Hafiz Hussain Ahmad hails from a spiritual family of Quetta. He was born in 1951. He opted for religious education from his early childhood and won laurels in Arabic and Islamic literature, Quran, Hadith and Fiqah. He has over 15 years divine service in teaching and preaching to his credit.
Hafiz Hussain Ahmad started his political career as early as 1973 and has, eversince, held important offices and key positions in Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Islam and Pakistan National Alliance, first at the Baiochistan level and then at the national level, and has been Deputy Parliamentary Leader of the JUI in the National Assembly. Hafiz Hussain Ahmad is a committed supporter of a strong Pakistan and believes that a true Islamic orientation of the educational, economic and political systems of the country is the only solution of our problems.
Hafiz Hussain Ahmad was elected to National Assembly in 1988. He was elected as Senator from Balochistan against the seat vacated by the death of Mr. Muhammad Ishaq Baluch and has been re-elected as Senator in 1991 for a six year term.
He has been to India, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the U.K. and North African countries for study and also on preaching missions.
