Born in 1936 in a very respectable, spiritual family at Sial Sharif in district Sargodha, Hazrat Khawaja Muhammad Hamid-ud-Din received his early education in Quran, Hadith and Fiqah from Darul-Uloom-Zia-Shamsul-Islam at his home town. He resorted to preaching and teaching at Darul-Uloom-Deenia, which he continued for about two decades. He is a agriculturist by profession and took an active part in the independence movement as well. Hazarat Khawaja Sahib has attended a number of spiritual meetings and a Muslim conference in Birmingham in 1985 and has been to Saudi Arabia for Haj and Umra.
He was elected to Senate in 1988 for a six-year term.
