Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani while presiding over meeting of the Executive Committee of Senate Secretariat Employees Welfare Fund announced to contribute Rs. 20,000/= per month as a contribution towards the Welfare Fund. The Chairman Senate made this decision keeping in view the importance of the welfare of the Senate employees. The amount would be deducted from his salary each month.
Chairing the high powered committee at the Parliament House on Thursday, Chairman Senate observed that employees are the asset of institution and their welfare is our top priority. He also called upon the members of the Upper House to come forward and contribute in the Welfare Fund generously for the wellbeing of the employees.
Chairman Senate said that Parliament has a different working environment and employees need encouragement to fulfill their tasks. He further remarked that our aim is to improve and work for the betterment of the employees. During the meeting, a number of cases of financial assistance were approved.
Secretary Senate Muhammad Anwar and senior officers of the Senate briefed the Committee about the overall status of fund, monthly donation by employees and members and the amount approved as financial assistance in cases of death, wedding and other health care related issues.
The meeting was attended by Senators Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, Sana Jamali, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Swati, Secretary Senate Muhammad Anwar and senior officers of the Senate Secretariat.
